Tonini' Alpine Refuge <\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>The G. Tonini mountain hut was completely destroyed by fire in December 2016. It has now been rebuilt in the same location. It was named after the engineer, painter and mountaineer Giovanni Tonini, and was purchased by his family with the aim of converting the existing rustic building into a mountain hut. <\/p>\n<p>The refuge has always offered hospitality and shelter in the mountains, boasting a simple, austere and unassuming structure.<\/p>\n<p>Various renovations and extensions have characterised the structure over the years, until 2010\u201311, when a new cableway was built to transport goods necessary for operating the refuge, among other interventions. In 2016, the refuge was completely destroyed by a devastating fire. <\/p>\n<p>The design of the new 'G. Tonini' mountain hut involves orienting the long side of the structure towards the valley to enjoy the fantastic view and ensure natural lighting for almost the entire day. In keeping with local tradition, the exterior will be rendered with coloured 'Tassullo' mortar, which is characterised by its light beige shade. <\/p>\n<p>The first floor will be entirely dedicated to bedrooms, while the ground floor will house the cable car's operational facilities, the technical room, the kitchen and a dining room with seating for sixty. There will also be a small bar. Outside, there will be a large, partly covered terrace with plenty of seating, some of which will be movable to face the valley and the view.
