At the centre stands a totem imagined as a growing spiral, which engages in dialogue with the iconic toroid. et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h2>Description<\/h2>\n<p>Genoa Palasport is a place steeped in the history of Euroflora and firmly fixed in the imagination of its devoted followers. In recent years, the arena has undergone major renovations that have significantly altered its functions and spaces. The arena now consists of a single tier of seating, with the area designated for events being the one covered by the translucent roof protected by the Superintendence.  <\/p>\n<p>Due to the ongoing construction site and the many constraints imposed by the management of the new spaces, the set-up designed for the Palasport underwent many changes and adjustments. A different solution to those that have characterised the tradition of Euroflora was chosen. The project defines an intimate space and oasis of rest, where sound design plays an important role in emphasising the place's quiet and secluded nature. <\/p>\n<p>A distinctive feature of the Palasport's design is the cardboard tubes that guide visitors from the entrance to the exit. The corridors of the visitor route are carpeted with these tubes, which are particularly striking inside the arena, where the green installations by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aster.genova.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A.S.Ter.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asef.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A.Se.F.<\/a> are housed. <\/p>\n<p>Inside the arena, the design is in complete harmony with the existing structure. The decision was made to retract the two mobile tiers of seating to maximise the available space and create a continuous curtain of cardboard tubes made from recycled and recyclable materials. These tubes, which are up to six metres high, define six apses that house green installations.<\/p>\n<p>The cardboard tubes not only give the Palasport its distinctive look, but also serve as an environmentally friendly and sustainable design solution for trade fair venues, as well as acting as a sound-absorbing device.
