Description

Urges was involved in both the design and execution phases of the work carried out at the Piazza Aspromonte apartment building in Milan. The project was carried out within the framework of incentives for the renovation of residential buildings and covered several parts of the building. Firstly, the façade was renovated with new nanoceramic thermal insulation, which, due to its very low thickness compared to traditional coatings, enabled the building’s distinctive 1920s features (ornaments, tympanums and cornices around the windows) to be preserved while significantly improving the building’s energy performance.

Plans were also in place to insulate the roof underneath the covering and replace compromised tiles. Various interventions were carried out at plant level, including bringing the electrical and plumbing systems up to date.

The entire intervention aimed to improve the building’s aesthetics and functionality while preserving its historical identity and enhancing its energy performance.
