new guest houses for the Tili Vini winery in Assisi

The creation of five guest houses for the Tili Vini winery, together with a wine and olive oil tasting trail, is an opportunity to offer a complete sensory journey, focusing on individual products and enhancing aromas with olfactory hints and scenic suggestions.

The external walkway, inspired by the shape of grape clusters, invites visitors to pause, while the guest houses, with their all-glass walls opening onto the countryside, offer an immersive and captivating experience.

Description

Preserving the identity of the site while reinterpreting it with modern and functional spaces dedicated to the comfort and well-being of guests is the basic concept behind the project for the construction of five new guest houses for the Tili Vini winery in Assisi, Perugia. From the analysis of the landscape to the intricate details, every aspect is aimed at enriching the tasting experience that the winery offers its visitors, while providing them with accommodation.

The project aims to create a seamless blend of old and new architecture. Two existing buildings on the site will be retained and connected by the addition of new guest houses and a covered walkway, forming a historic gallery.

The new guest houses, characterized by simple shapes and neutral colors, are located at the rear of the complex, with their glazed fronts facing outwards to preserve the privacy of each guest and to provide them with magnificent of the surrounding landscape. The two existing buildings will be refurbished and reused for amenities, hospitality services, a wine bar, tasting areas, and catering.

The actual tasting trail is located in the outdoor space in front of the buildings and is inspired by grape clusters and vines, with large circles and spirals that create pathways, play areas, water features, relaxation areas and tasting stations dedicated to the winery’s four main wines, plus a fifth station for extra virgin olive oil.

The surrounding space and environment are transformed into a holistic sensory experience, using colors, scents and views to immerse visitors in the tranquility and historic charm of the Umbrian countryside.
