FLOATING STRUCTURES IN THE WATERFRONT MARINA

A key element of the competition design for Euroflora 2025 was the proposal to create green installations on the water in the marina. This took the form of three petal-shaped floating structures, which defined an enclosed space while also overlooking the water.

Description

The 2025 edition of Euroflora will be the first to feature installations on the water. Three floating islands have been set up to host the exhibitors. Each island was designed for a single exhibitor and could be set up with complete freedom. However, several elements remained consistent with the overall master plan, such as the use of wood and jute, and the exploration of new perspectives.

The structures were conceived as spaces that the visitor was invited to discover by deviating from the route to the Jean Nouvel Pavilion.

Each island is a world unto itself, from the rose-filled island of Nirp International to the maple-lined paths of Diletta Gardens and the lush greenery of Pastorelli Farm.

The project successfully highlighted the return to the fair’s historic location at the new Levante Waterfront, showcasing key elements.
